We are a professional association that was founded to support, collaborate with, and represent Interpreters, Translators, Lipspeakers and Deafblind Interpreters across the UK.

We are governed by our Articles of Association, which define the scope and nature of our activities, with a Board of Directors, made up of five directors and four elected directors, managing the day-to-day running of the business of the association.

We work alongside our member volunteers who represent the different communication and language service professionals that VLP supports. You can find out more about our current Board of Directors and volunteers and the work that they do here.

For over a decade, we have been working to raise the profile and standards of communication and language service professionals across the UK, enabling them to provide the highest quality services to consumers.

Our mission is to promote high standards through support, collaboration and representation and our vision is to be an inclusive, collaborative organisation striving for excellence across the industry for the benefit of all our members.
