Welcome to Visual Language Professionals
Visual Language Professionals would like to offer congratulations to the BDA, RAD and Signature on celebrating 10 years since British Sign Language was officially accepted as the first language of Deaf people in the UK. We would also offer our support in persuading the current and any future Government that British Sign Language should be fully recognised by the introduction of legislation to support its status and use in the UK
______________________________________________________________
Visual Language Professionals (VLP) was established in 2010 for British Sign Language interpreters to support each other on a local and national basis, to promote and maintain high standards in sign language interpreting and to encourage good practice throughout the profession.
This website provides information about what a BSL interpreter is, as well as providing a directory of qualified BSL interpreters local to your area. VLP members include associated communication professionals working with deaf people. Deafblind communicators, BSL/English Translators and Lipspeakers who are members can also be searched for via this website.
