Membership

Full membership including PII is offered to interpreters who are eligible to be registered with the NRCPD as Qualified Interpreters (RSLI)* We also offer membership to qualified Lipspeakers (L3), DeafBlind Communicators (L3) and BSL Translators (NVQ6)

VLP does not require that you are currently registered with any other professional body, but may require proof of qualification in line with the NRCPD mapping at those levels.

Full membership entitles you to PII cover of £250k; full access to the online forum; entry on the online directory; photo ID card

The VLP membership year runs from the 1st April to the following 31st March

Membership Fee:

£50 for Full members = PII / Full Access to Forum / Membership card / Online Listing

*From April 2012 to Oct 2012, the NRCPD's categories changed. The MRSLI category remained the same (renamed to RSLI), but the TI and JTI categories merged to a single Trainee category (see NRCPD website for details). In 2013 VLP decided to make its membership stand for one of quality and now only accept fully qualified professionals.
